Import Letters of Credit
The Import Letter Of Credit is a conditional undertaking of payment by a bank. It assures that the seller will be paid
only after they have fulfilled all their documentary obligations.

Export Letters of Credit
The Export Letter of Credit is issued by the buyer's bank. That bank commits to pay the seller when the seller have complied with the documentary terms identified in the letter of credit.

*Reducing the production risk, first of all, for the situations when the buyer cancels or changes his order.

*Payment by negotiation.
The nominated bank reviews the documents presented by the beneficiary and determines if they comply with the
terms and conditions of the Credit. If the documents comply with the terms and conditions of the Credit,
the negotiating bank pays the exporter with or without recourse and claims reimbursement from the issuing bank through the reimbursing bank.
Transferable Letters of Credit
A Transferable Credit (Transferable Letter of Credit) is generally used when the beneficiary of an Import
Documentary Credit is not the actual supplier of the goods, but an intermediary (middleman or agent).
A Transferable Credit is a regular Import Documentary Credit (Import Letter of Credit) with an additional term that
allows a named bank to transfer an amount of the Import Documentary Credit to one or more of the actual suppliers
or any transferee requested by the beneficiary and agreed to by the bank. This transfer is completed at the request
of the beneficiary provided that the bank agrees to the transfer.

Standby Letters of Credit
